DAWN is a wonderful creation from the mind of Joseph Michael Linsner. She first appeared as the cover girl for Joe's collaboration with friend Joe Monks; Cry For Dawn.  She has since shown herself to us in more detail.  Dawn is THE Goddess.  She is the maiden, the mother, the crone.  The goddess of Birth and Rebirth,  The lover of Death himself.  And now, most recently, we have seen her appear to us as the older incarnation, The Destroyer.  Dawn has so many facets, who knows what she will show us next. I was first introduced to DAWN in a rather amusing manner.   I was visiting over one of my friends houses when one of his  friends who I had never met came over to visit. We exchanged  names, and the next thing she said was, You look like  DAWN!' "Who?" I asked. She proceeded to pull out this picture. I was very flattered by her compliment, but more importantly, I was enthralled by the artwork! Ever since then,  I have been a die-hard Linsner fan. I have quite a collection of  his work now, but I always seem to find something by Joe I don't have and I want very much!!

The new Dawn series; Return of the Goddess has come to a fantastic close.  If you still have yet to read this series, here's a taste of what you are missing... In ROTG,  Someone is killing Dawns followers, the witches of the world.  One of the last witches left sacrifices her life in order to wake the goddess and open her eyes to the evil that is going on.  Dawn comes to earth to track down the killers and to set things right. The artwork in these books is truly some of Joe's greatest ever.  The storyline has twists and turns, it's totally unpredictable.  And yet, as you read the end, it ends exactly the way it had to.  I really can't say enough about this story, it far surpasses and hopes I had.   Once again, Thanks Joe for sharing your wonderful world with us!!
